Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum software-hardware integration
- Lead research publications in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF/DARPA
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Ability to secure government and private research funding
