Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit stability in multi-qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum gate operations
- Lead research on quantum supremacy applications for pharmaceutical and materials science
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum conferences
- Secure $5M+ in NSF/DARPA grants for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and decoherence mitigation
- Deep understanding of quantum-classical hybrid computing architectures
- Proven track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
