Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum circuits for machine learning applications
- Lead quantum algorithm optimization for cryptography and material science simulations
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop quantum-neural network hybrids
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop quantum security protocols against emerging cyber threats
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Secure $5M+ in NSF and DoD research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion traps
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures
