Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Develop error-corrected quantum systems with 99.9% fidelity targets
- Lead cross-functional teams integrating quantum-classical hybrid solutions
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and top conferences
- Secure $10M+ in government/industry grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers and patent 5+ quantum innovations annually
- Partner with NASA/IBM on quantum-empowered space exploration projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Ability to secure government research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Experience mentoring quantum research teams of 5+ scientists
