Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experiments on superconducting quantum processors and photonic systems
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve quantum advantage
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Secure $2M+ in NSF grants and DARPA contracts for quantum research
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Author white papers on quantum cryptography applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates)
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum conferences
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit design tools
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic networks
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Track record of securing research funding or patents
- Understanding of quantum machine learning frameworks
- Security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
