Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for industrial applications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum) and present at IEEE conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
