Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to advance quantum coherence beyond 10,000 qubits
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications in finance and logistics
- Publish research in Nature Physics and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit design
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (Rigetti, IBM Quantum)
