Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in AI and logistics
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using trapped-ion systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with physical implementations
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DoD programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in quantum information theory or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms or photonic quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Track record of mentoring graduate researchers in quantum computing
