Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era hardware
- Lead cross-functional teams to solve optimization problems in finance and logistics
- Publish top-tier research in Nature Physics and Physical Review X
- Develop error mitigation protocols for 1000+ qubit systems
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or variational algorithms
- Expertise in Python, C++, and high-performance computing
- Strong understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence principles
- Track record of securing NSF or DoD quantum grants
