Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and build quantum computing curriculum for universities
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or top-tier theoretical physics
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience securing SBIR grants or DARPA funding
- Proven track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
