Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum error correction protocols using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and computational physics
- Secure federal grants (NSF/DOE) and industry partnerships for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming toolkits
- Published record in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction research
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing and fault-tolerant systems
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
