Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing post-quantum cryptographic protocols
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent innovations in quantum machine learning
- Develop error-correction techniques for scalable quantum systems
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years publishing in Nature/Science journals on quantum topics
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor interfaces
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
- Track record of securing federal research funding
- Expertise in topological quantum computing architectures
- Fluency in Python/C++ with HPC optimization skills
