Job Description
Join Nexus Quantum Labs at the forefront of computational revolution. We're pioneering quantum-resistant cryptography and error-corrected qubit architectures to redefine 2026's digital infrastructure. As a Research Scientist, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and MIT PhDs to solve problems previously deemed unsolvable. Our state-of-the-art facility in San Francisco offers unlimited compute resources and dedicated lab space for breakthrough experiments. We offer competitive equity packages, flexible remote work options, and annual innovation grants for personal research projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and drug discovery
- Develop error correction protocols for 100+ qubit systems using topological qubit architectures
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers in prototyping next-gen quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Secure $1M+ in government grants for quantum security initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion platforms
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Strong background in linear algebra and tensor networks
- Security clearance eligibility (DOD preferred)
