Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on superconducting qubit platforms
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish high-impact research in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in quantum computing grants from NSF and DoD
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (2018-2023)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with IBM Q or Rigetti quantum processors
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Published work in top quantum computing journals/conferences
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation libraries
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or quantum field theory
- Experience with quantum machine learning algorithms (QML)
- Clearable federal security clearance preferred
