What You'll Achieve:
Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems, cryptography, and machine learning. Mentor junior researchers while driving our quantum cloud platform's development.
Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for NISQ-era applications
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams on quantum processor integration
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Secure $2M+ in research funding through NSF/DOE proposals
- Publish 4+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Present quarterly progress to CTO and industry partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information
- 3+ years quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# frameworks
- Published work in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Track record of securing government research grants
