Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures
- Publish research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in NSF and DARPA research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Publication record in quantum computing research
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and group theory
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
