Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for industrial-scale optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical AI systems
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and secure $2M+ in government/industry grants
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors for specific algorithmic needs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics (with 3+ years post-doc)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# with 100+ hours of quantum simulation experience
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with parallel computing frameworks (CUDA, OpenMP)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, color codes)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into executable quantum circuits
- Experience securing NSF or DARPA quantum computing grants
