Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and machine learning
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into enterprise products
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Develop quantum software frameworks optimized for hybrid classical-quantum computing environments
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through compelling proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years of industry research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, VQE implementations)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems and control electronics
- Demonstrated ability to secure and manage multi-million dollar research budgets
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for stakeholders
