Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to prototype quantum-resistant encryption standards
- Lead 3-5 R&D projects targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Mentor junior researchers and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Published research in quantum information theory or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and GPU acceleration
- Clearance for government-funded research projects (or ability to obtain)
