Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop quantum processor architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals/conferences (Nature, Science, IEEE)
- Secure $500K+ in government/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum computing methodologies
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for real-world applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum entanglement
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion quantum computers
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
