Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance on superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead cross-functional research projects in error correction, quantum cryptography, and hybrid classical-quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF, DARPA, and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design and complexity analysis
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
