Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum algorithm design
- Proficiency in Python/C++ for quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum complexity classes (BQP, QMA) and quantum supremacy
- Track record of securing DARPA or NSF quantum computing grants
