Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum hardware-software integration
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure federal grants and corporate partnerships for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with AI teams to explore quantum-machine learning hybrid models
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
- Demonstrated success in securing research grants or corporate R&D funding
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and computational complexity
