Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research on quantum hardware systems to improve qubit stability and error correction
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into commercial products
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent applications for novel quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education initiatives
- Secure external funding through government grants and private partnerships
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and industry standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing or physics journals
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and algorithm design
- Experience with low-level quantum hardware control and calibration systems
- Proven ability to secure competitive research grants or corporate funding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) is highly desirable
