Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to advance quantum processor stability beyond current limitations
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum architectures targeting 1000+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams translating quantum research into commercial applications
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at premier quantum conferences
- Secure federal and industry research grants to expand quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing publications
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Proven ability to translate theoretical quantum concepts into practical implementations
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
