Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop quantum machine learning frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum engineering interns
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Develop patentable intellectual property for commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Expertise in at least one classical high-performance computing environment
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with quantum hardware providers (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ) preferred
