Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate quantum decoherence challenges
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum cryptography and error correction
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure patents for novel quantum methodologies with commercial applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Develop roadmaps for quantum advantage in logistics and drug discovery
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum simulators (IBM Q, Rigetti)
- Publication record in quantum information science
- Expertise in linear algebra and probability theory
- Proficiency in Python and quantum circuit design
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants ($500k+)
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Strong track record of translating theory to practical prototypes
