Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms with 99.9% fidelity for industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-correction frameworks for scalable quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE)
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants through NIH and NSF proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks (e.g., PennyLane, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum cryptography and post-quantum security protocols
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Experience with superconducting and photonic quantum systems
