Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Secure $2M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Partner with NASA, MIT, and DARPA on classified quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science journals or IEEE Transactions
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Active Q-clearance or ability to obtain government security clearance
- Proficiency with low-temperature measurement systems (mK-range)
- Strong background in quantum machine learning applications
- Experience leading quantum hardware research projects
