Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Collaborate with hardware team to mitigate quantum decoherence challenges
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Prototype quantum solutions for enterprise clients in finance and logistics
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for quantum simulation
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing systems
- Strong track record of translating theoretical models to practical implementations
- Clearance for DOE quantum research collaboration (or eligibility)
