Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic qubit technologies
- Develop cryogenic control systems with sub-10mK stability for quantum processor operation
- Implement quantum error correction protocols achieving >99.9% fidelity
- Create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for real-world industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with MIT, Caltech, and IBM Quantum Network
- Secure and maintain quantum communication channels using quantum key distribution (QKD)
- Document and publish breakthrough methodologies in IEEE and Nature journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulators
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and ultra-low-noise electronic systems
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals or conferences
- Familiarity with NISQ-era hardware constraints and mitigation strategies
- Ability to secure DoD or DOE quantum computing clearance preferred
