Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in high-volume warehouse environment
- Execute inventory control procedures using WMS systems and RF scanners
- Coordinate cross-functional team loading/unloading of 53' trailers
- Maintain OSHA compliance through daily equipment inspections and safety audits
- Optimize material flow using lean principles to reduce waste
- Train junior operators on equipment operation and safety protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience operating sit-down forklifts (counterbalance preferred)
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification and current forklift operator license
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (e.g., Oracle WMS, Manhattan Active)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with inventory accuracy above 99.5%
- Forklift certification from accredited institution (e.g., ITA, NCCCO)
