Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts with precision to move pallets and materials throughout 150,000 sq ft warehouse
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections and maintain accurate equipment maintenance logs
- Implement FIFO inventory rotation protocols using RF scanners and WMS systems
- Coordinate with 3PL partners for cross-docking operations and trailer loading/unloading
- Enforce OSHA safety standards during all material handling activities
- Train junior operators on warehouse safety protocols and equipment operation
- Optimize stacking configurations to maximize storage density and accessibility
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification with 2+ years of industrial experience
- Proficient in operating sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks in high-volume environments
- OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in temperature-controlled warehouse (35-85°F)
- Basic math skills for inventory reconciliation and order verification
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (Manhattan, SAP)
- Strong problem-solving abilities during peak season operations
- Clean MVR and ability to pass background check for DOT compliance
