Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials efficiently within warehouse and loading dock areas
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company operational procedures
- Coordinate inventory management through WMS system data entry and verification
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and assist in general warehouse upkeep
- Train new operators on equipment handling and safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of certified forklift operation experience
- Valid OSHA Forklift Certification and current NYC Work Permit
- Demonstrated ability to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices
- Basic proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying temperature conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
