Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet daily production targets
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company policies
- Train junior operators on safe equipment handling procedures
- Optimize storage layouts to maximize warehouse space utilization
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification with 2+ years of recent experience
- Proven ability to operate multiple forklift types (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks)
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Experience in temperature-controlled warehouse environments preferred
