Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in high-volume warehouse environments
- Execute precise inventory management using WMS systems with 99.9% accuracy
- Coordinate cross-docking operations for time-sensitive government contracts
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
- Maintain OSHA compliance standards through rigorous safety protocols
- Train junior operators on advanced material handling techniques
- Optimize storage layouts to maximize 50,000 sq ft facility capacity
Qualifications
- OSHA forklift certification with 3+ years industrial experience
- Valid DC driver's license and clean MVR record
- Expertise in narrow-aisle and reach truck operations
- Proficient in inventory software (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and stand 8+ hours
- Strong attention to detail in high-pressure environments
- Willingness to obtain additional certifications (e.g., hazmat)
- Spanish bilingualism preferred for diverse client interactions
