Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts to move palletized materials throughout 500,000 sq ft distribution center
- Execute precise inventory management using RF scanners and WMS systems
- Maintain OSHA compliance through daily equipment inspections and safety protocol adherence
- Coordinate cross-functional team movements for efficient loading/unloading of trailers
- Train junior operators on advanced material handling techniques and safety protocols
- Optimize warehouse layouts to minimize travel time and maximize storage capacity
- Generate accurate documentation for inventory transactions and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial forklift operation experience with valid OSHA certification
- Proven ability to operate multiple forklift types (electric, propane, narrow aisle)
- OSHA 10/30 certification and current forklift operator license required
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan)
- Strong attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate inventory records
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work 8-10 hour shifts in climate-controlled environment
- Valid driver's license and clean MVR for occasional yard truck operation
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
