Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in high-volume warehouse environment
- Perform daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance checks
- Coordinate with receiving/shipping teams for efficient material flow
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Train new operators on safety protocols and equipment operation
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow
- Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of forklift operation experience with valid certification
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 8+ hours
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking
