Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload palletized goods throughout the facility
- Conduct daily pre/post-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material flow and dock scheduling
- Enforce strict OSHA safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Train new team members on equipment operation and safety procedures
- Support year-round inventory audits and cycle count activities
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (OSHA-compliant) with minimum 2 years recent experience
- Proven ability to operate multiple forklift types (electric, propane, narrow aisle)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and RF scanners
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in varied temperatures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to zero-incident safety record
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
