Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) with 99%+ accuracy
- Maintain clean, organized work areas following OSHA and company safety standards
- Train new operators on safe equipment handling and warehouse protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow and meet deadlines
- Document all activities using digital tracking systems
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (current or within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse/forklift operations
- Proficient in operating multiple forklift types (reach, counterbalance, order picker)
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic computer literacy with WMS experience preferred
