Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in high-volume warehouse environments
- Perform daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance checks
- Manage inventory control using RF scanners and WMS systems
- Train new operators on safety protocols and equipment operation
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving teams to optimize dock schedules
- Implement OSHA compliance standards across all material handling activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily operations and inventory counts
Qualifications
- OSHA-certified forklift operator license (valid and current)
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse/material handling environments
- Proficiency with inventory management software and RF scanners
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in temperature-controlled facilities
- Strong knowledge of hazardous material handling procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
