Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in high-volume warehouse settings
- Coordinate inventory movement between storage zones and shipping/receiving docks
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Implement FIFO inventory rotation protocols using RF scanning technology
- Maintain clean, organized work areas per 5S methodology
- Train junior operators on safety procedures and equipment operation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless workflow optimization
Qualifications
- OSHA-approved forklift certification (valid or obtainable within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years of recent warehouse equipment operation experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for 8+ hour shifts
- Familiarity with WMS systems and RF scanning devices
- Strong attention to detail with proven safety record
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and clean MVR for occasional yard operations
