Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in compliance with OSHA standards
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance
- Manage inventory using WMS systems and maintain accurate stock records
- Coordinate with warehouse team to optimize loading/unloading schedules and dock operations
- Train junior operators on safety protocols and equipment best practices
- Implement lean principles to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce material waste
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and immediately report any equipment malfunctions
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift operator license with minimum 2 years experience
- Proven ability to operate multiple forklift types (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck)
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and inventory management systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Basic computer skills with WMS software proficiency
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Clean driving record and pre-employment background check clearance
