Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move palletized goods throughout 50,000 sq ft warehouse
- Conduct pre-shift inspections and document maintenance logs for all equipment
- Manage inventory using RF scanners and WMS systems with 99.5% accuracy
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize loading/unloading schedules
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S methodology
- Train junior operators on safety protocols and equipment best practices
- Participate in quarterly safety audits and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification and 2+ years of warehouse experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle WMS)
- Strong attention to detail with zero-tolerance approach to safety
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends during peak seasons
- Basic mechanical knowledge of electric forklift systems
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
