Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in high-volume warehouse environment
- Coordinate material movement between shipping/receiving docks and storage areas
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS systems
- Train new operators on safety protocols and equipment usage
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows
- Adhere to all DOT and OSHA safety regulations
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- 3+ years experience operating industrial forklifts
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and stand for 8+ hour shifts
- Forklift reach truck and order picker experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
