Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and heavy machinery in high-traffic port environments
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily
- Train junior operators on safety protocols
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving teams for efficient workflow
- Adhere to OSHA and maritime safety regulations
- Document operational activities and incident reports
Qualifications
- 3+ years of forklift operation experience
- Valid OSHA forklift certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions
- Basic computer literacy
- Valid California driver's license
