Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials efficiently within warehouse and loading dock areas
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure operational safety
- Manage inventory control through accurate scanning and documentation of all movements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse workflow and productivity
- Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety protocols at all times
- Train junior operators on proper equipment usage and safety procedures
- Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout shift duration
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional forklift operation experience in warehouse/distribution settings
- Valid OSHA forklift certification and current DC driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems and inventory software
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- OSHA 10-Hour certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required
