Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in 24/7 warehouse environment
- Load/unload shipping containers and trucks with zero-tolerance for damage
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance checks
- Manage inventory using WMS systems with 99.9% accuracy
- Train new operators on safety protocols and equipment operation
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for efficient material flow
- Maintain detailed logs for OSHA compliance and audits
Qualifications
- OSHA forklift certification with 3+ years of experience
- Valid Virginia driver's license and clean MVR
- Expertise in pallet jacks, order pickers, and reach trucks
- Forklift certification from accredited program (e.g., ITA, NCCCO)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work 8-12 hour shifts
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong attention to detail and safety-first mindset
