Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts efficiently in warehouse/dock environments
- Execute inventory management tasks using RF scanning systems
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and company policies
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for streamlined material handling
- Perform pre/post-shift equipment inspections and maintenance documentation
- Train new operators on safe forklift operation procedures
- Optimize stacking/palletizing techniques for maximum space utilization
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (current or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficient in RF scanning technology and inventory management systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in temperature-controlled environments
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional spatial awareness abilities
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends during peak seasons
