Responsibilities
- Lead strategic foresight initiatives to identify and validate emerging technologies with 3-5 year market impact
- Develop patent-pending innovation frameworks integrating AI, biotech, and nanotechnology convergence
- Present quarterly trend reports to C-suite and board of directors with actionable recommendations
- Manage cross-functional R&D pods comprising AI researchers, engineers, and industrial designers
- Author white papers published in Nature Futures and IEEE Technology & Society
- Drive prototyping of 2026-focused solutions using our quantum-secure cloud infrastructure
- Mentor junior futurists through our patent-acceleration program
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent with 10+ years in strategic innovation
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (3+ products/ventures)
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and technology impact assessment
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals with 50+ citations
- Proficiency in AI trend forecasting tools (e.g., GPT-4, Trendalyzer) and quantum computing basics
- Experience securing $10M+ in R&D funding from federal/state innovation grants
